Tread Wear: The tire tread is worn down to the wear bars or the tread depth is less than 1/32 inch (0.8 mm). Some tires have tread wear indicators built into them.
Age: Even if the tread looks fine, tires degrade over time. Typically, it's recommended to replace motorcycle tires every 5-7 years, regardless of mileage, as rubber compounds deteriorate.
Damage: If there are any cuts, cracks, punctures, or bulges on the tire, it's time for a replacement. Any visible damage could compromise the tire's integrity.
Uneven Wear: If the tire shows signs of uneven wear patterns, it might indicate a serious issue or improper tire pressure, and the tire should be replaced.
Performance Issues: If you notice decreased handling, longer braking distances, or a rougher ride, it might be time to inspect and replace your tires.
Mileage: Some tires come with a mileage rating. If you've reached the manufacturer's recommended mileage, consider replacing the tire.
